Tonight I went to an exhibition at Nation of Shopkeepers that was, in the words of the LCA website, "A celebration of student creativity in Leeds. Leeds College of Art and Leeds College of Music collaborate to present unity in the creative arts."
This really wasn't my thing. I was under the impression that it was going to be a big thing with lots of work there, but it turned out there were only a few bits of work there.
I thought this was quite cool, although I've no idea what it was.
I have no idea what this was for, but I related to it and it made me smile.
I think that sums up what I didn't get about the exhibition really. It wasn't really an exhibition for anything other than LCA and LCM, and in that sense I'm not sure why it's necessary as we have final shows that do that.
Pessimistically thinking, I can't help but think Nation of Shopkeepers benefitted from this more than anyone did from LCA or LCM. In my opinion, the exhibition seemed like somewhat of an extension of the bar, and, having never been there before, I was unsure as to weather some of the things there were on display as part of the exhibition or part of the furniture.
